For one must be our President this new election year.

Today is Election Day, who does our country love?

Obama or McCain … or none of the above?

The Donkey or the Elephant, which party will we pick?

We’ll either make a good choice, or a choice to make us sick.

Who will help our country the very best they can?

Who has the best values … and attention span!?

Who will save our country from going in the hole?

Who will give our country all of their heart and soul?

Who will shake the cold from the homeless and the poor?

Someone to look up to, to cherish and adore.

Standing up for Freedom, Justice, Truth and Right,

Someone kind and caring, whether black or white.

Who will we elect President this new election year?

Someone who is loyal, not a mutineer.

No matter whom WE want to win the competition,

We must remember it is each of our decision.

Slowly he rides across the wave

Sending dolphins to their graves

They all know their days are few

Until Ryker decides that their lives are through

But the whales he does preserve

Because he thinks that they deserve

One last chance to blow their hole

Before he takes its sorry soul

Oh the horror of the ryker

Why does he do it, no one knows

Grandma smiles with pure affection

The Corn and beans, buttered lightly

Our eyes are sparkling very brightly

Apple cider, cold and bitter

Apple juice and apple fritter

Rolls are fresh from the oven

All are made with grandmas loven’

Puffy and soft, they melt in your mouth

Cooked with a recipe from the south

Potatoes and yams, sweet and tasty

Chew slowly, don’t be hasty

Gravy simmered, boiled and stewed

Look at all this glorious food

Let’s not forget the many pies

So very good they could win a prize

Apple, cherry and pumpkin too

Eat and eat until they’re through

Oh how I Love this new thanksgiving

It all makes life worth living

My family close around me

I love them all (to some degree)

Here comes the mighty Lion

Prowling in his African Zion

When the dark is closing in

The lion puts on his little grin

Screaming to the heavens to get food and water

Before he is taken to the slaughter

Like a child he groans in pain

And then from the shadows was he slain

The gazelle it runs and jumps in play

Hoping it won’t become something’s prey

Frolicking gently along the stream

In and out of a Childs dream

Running far across the plains

Breaking all the earthly chains

Like a vibrant electric spark

Until he disappears into the dark

The elephant so high and mighty

Pounds the earth, not so lightly

Protecting its young with trunk and tusk

Eating slowly into dusk

Half its weight it must consume

To feed the baby in its womb

The hunter is its only fear

Causing them to disappear

As the sun sets across the African plain

It slowly starts a gentle rain

As the animals lay down to rest

We must realize that we’re blessed

We’re not hunted, starved or eaten

Let alone killed or beaten

Let’s remember our blessings next time were sad

Because our lives are not that bad
